將富萘油與洗苯富油同時在一個蒸餾塔內蒸餾，從塔的側線切出萘餾分。這種方法建設投資低，但是萘餾分中含萘量低，洗油損耗大。

在冷卻煤氣的同時使萘析出，并與冷卻水一同流出，往冷卻水中混入焦油，吸收水中的萘，然后靜置分離出冷卻水。水在涼水架冷卻后循環(huán)使用。

While cooling the gas, naphthalene is precipitated and flows out together with the cooling water. Tar is mixed into the cooling water to absorb the naphthalene in the water, and then the cooling water is separated by standing still. The water is recycled after being cooled in a cooling rack.

這個方法的大優(yōu)點是不要蒸餾裝置，建設費用約為前述方法的一半，并且不必擔心因腐蝕而中斷操作。在處理萘比較麻煩的冬季，因水溫低；煤氣冷卻的幅度可增大，所以效率也提高。能夠大大改進維護檢修。但是，采用型式的涼水架冷卻循環(huán)水時，會污染環(huán)境，如果是換熱器，則擔心堵塞管子，尤其作為動力，每小時需消耗幾噸蒸汽，所以操作費增高些。
